Getting Started Checklist

Check out our step-by-step checklist to add your first client and get started using the StrengthEngine.com Advanced Trainer Pro!

Note: It is best to have an initial meeting with your client to obtain their fitness assessment information (you may already have this for an existing client). Many trainers that have 'long-distance' clients also do this via email or phone. Now, just click on the "Add New Client" link located on the left side of your StrengthEngine.com Advanced Trainer Pro screen, and you will be taken into the automatic client sign up process. Simply follow the instructions and the ATP will take you step-by-step through this process! Try to fill out as many fields as you can, including the Fitness Assessment area, as this will help to make your job of customizing the program and tracking your clients progress much easier!

Step 1: Client Profile

Fill out the Client Profile
The first section will be the Client Profile. This information is important for your records and for calculating some of the workout information. The fields with the red button next to them are required to continue the client sign up process.

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Address 1
  • Address 2 (optional for additional records)
  • City
  • State
  • Zip Code
  • Email Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Height
  • Weight

Now, hit the "Continue" button at the bottom of this page to go to Step 2 where you will begin the program design process.

Step 2: Program Creation

Choose a Workout Frequency
Click on the number of days per week you would like your client to exercise. Hint: If you want to choose or develop a program with 3 days of weight training and 2 days of cardio you must choose 5 Days from the list. You can change this information at any time throughout your client's program at no extra charge!

Choose a Program Goal
Once you choose a training frequency you will be asked to choose from a list of specific program goals to help speed up the process of customizing your clients program. Hint: You can also choose the Blank Start Program if you would like to start from scratch. You can change this information at any time throughout your client's program at no extra charge!

Choose a Specific Workout
There may be multiple programs available for you to choose from in this section. Simply choose the one that you want and the ATP will automatically move you to the next section. Hint: You can view a sample of the workout before you select it by clicking on the "View a sample of this program" link. You can change this information at any time throughout your client's program at no extra charge!

Choose the Start Date for your clients program
Choose a start date from the calendar that is shown. The start date that you choose will also be the first day of your client's workout. Hint: You can choose any start date but remember that you have 13 weeks of access to complete the 12 week program. You can change this information at any time throughout your client's program at no extra charge!

Choose the specific days of the week for your client's program
Remember, the first workout day of the week is dependent upon the start date that you have chosen for your client. Simply click on the drop down arrow located on each of the remaining workouts and choose the specific days for the rest of the week. You can change this information at any time throughout your client's program at no extra charge!

Step 3: Fitness Assessment

Record your client's Fitness Assessment info
Recording your client's Fitness Assessment information enables the workout to include weights, repetitions and heart rates specific to your client. The tests in this area are either required, recommended, or optional. Recording as much assessment information as you can will allow the computer to track your client's progress more completely. You can retest your client on any given week of their program. However, the ATP will only record the best test score in any 7-day time frame for each test. Hint: The ATP will automatically record any testing information as well as any individual exercise strength or intensity changes that you make to your clients program.

Step 4: Billing

Billing Information
You can choose to enter in your client's credit card information or your own credit card information in this section. Simply click on the button next to the billing method of your choice. If you decide to enter your client's credit card number, StrengthEngine will send you the balance of the payment, minus the $30 dollar program access fee and a 2% credit card processing fee, on a bi-weekly basis.

If you decide to have your client pay you by check or cash, you would enter your own credit card number. Simply enter in the program access fee of $30 dollars and you are ready to start working with your client! Hint: If you use your own credit card and charge only the $30 dollar program access fee, StrengthEngine will waive the 2% processing fee. Also, please note that if you have a Canadian address, you can ONLY charge the $30 program access fee; you must bill your clients separately, by whichever method you choose.
