Partnerships
Offline relationships provide StrengthEngine with the power to reach
a mass audience of sports and fitness savvy users and bring
them online. A partnership has been formed with 24 Hour
Fitness, which selected StrengthEngine as their preferred Internet
partner to provide training, tracking and nutrition programs
to its two million-plus members; PowerBar, where StrengthEngine
was enlisted to enhance its site with content and services
related to participatory sports; Polar, which chose
StrengthEngine as its Internet partner to create an educational heart
rate training room and Quick Start Web area for their new
users. In addition, StrengthEngine has recently fostered a close partnerships
with Phil Kaplan for whom StrengthEngine provides the StrengthEngine
Trainer Pro marketing solution to his personal trainer participants.
Commerce
Partnership
StrengthEngine has created a relationship with Personal Best Nutrition
in order to provide buying assistance for nutritional products.
StrengthEngine has a partnership with Apex Fitness, which has
trained more than one million people in association with health
club facilities, to address appropriate ways to offer supplement
recommendations to trainers and consumers on-line.
E-Services
Partnerships
StrengthEngine has partnered with top professionals and leading training
institutes, such as Jeff Galloway and Sally Edwards,
in order to provide first-rate online training programs. StrengthEngine
has formed two close partnerships with the American Council
on Exercise (ACE) and the NSCA to make the StrengthEngine
Trainer Pro available to their certified members and to hold
educational workshops on using the Internet to grow a trainer's
business. Reebok University (part of Reebok International),
selected StrengthEngine to provide the StrengthEngine.com Advanced Trainer Pro as the on-line
training tool trainers can use to build workout programs for
clients featuring exercises that use Reebok's CORE Technology.
Distribution
Partnerships
StrengthEngine partners with leading Internet distribution companies
to provide them with quality content and services. Notable
partnerships include Yahoo which will use StrengthEngine as
it anchor partner for its new Fitness Area within Yahoo
Sports (#1 Sports site on-line); and NBCi, which
features StrengthEngine's participatory sports content in its health,
fitness, sports sections. On the handheld front, AvantGo,
the leading interactive service managing mobile information,
offers StrengthEngine's active sports information and services via
Palm Pilots, Windows CE devices and various wireless devices.
Content
& Application Partnerships
To supplement its own editorial team, StrengthEngine works with high-level
coaches, athletes, and renowned writers. In addition, StrengthEngine
has formed relationships with Human Kinetics, the leading
sports and fitness publisher; Sports ID, the ultimate
source for sports instruction which offers more than 800 streaming
video clips that cover upwards of 80 different sports; and
Screaming Media, a leading syndicator of content to
hundreds of Web sites. Vivonic (a subsidiary of Intel)
which develops and markets sports and fitness-specific applications
for handheld products partnered with StrengthEngine to integrate StrengthEngine
training programs into their application.
Technical
Partnerships
Recognizing the need to constantly add new functionality
and services to its user base, StrengthEngine has entered into a number
of third-party service partnerships including EXP.com,
a leading online marketplace for expert advice and services;
and NetSanity, which allows users to have access to
real-time updates of StrengthEngine's articles, services and workouts
without having the site open in a browser.
